The Data Operator is responsible for accurately entering, managing, and maintaining data across various platforms and systems. This role ensures that data is correct, organized, and easily accessible for use by other departments. A Data Operator may also generate reports, verify data accuracy, and assist in data analysis as required.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry:
- Enter, update, and maintain data in databases, spreadsheets, or other systems from source documents within set time limits.
- Input data such as customer information, sales figures, product details, and financial transactions.

Data Verification & Accuracy:
- Verify the accuracy of data entered by cross-referencing with source documents.
- Review data for errors, inconsistencies, or discrepancies and correct them when necessary.
- Ensure data integrity by following data entry protocols and standards.

Data Maintenance:
- Maintain organized records and filing systems for both digital and hard copies.
- Regularly update and maintain databases to ensure all data is current and accurate.

Report Generation:
- Generate periodic reports based on collected data for analysis or decision-making purposes.
- Assist in preparing and presenting data reports for different departments.

File Management:
- Organize and store data files securely, ensuring that they are easily accessible when needed.
- Archive outdated or redundant data following company protocols.

Data Cleanup:
- Identify and remove outdated, duplicate, or irrelevant data to ensure data quality.
- Perform data validation tasks to clean up datasets and ensure they are ready for analysis.

Confidentiality & Security:
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and adhere to data privacy policies.
- Follow security protocols to protect data from unauthorized access or loss.

Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure they have access to accurate and up-to-date information.
- Support administrative tasks such as sorting, indexing, and filing documents when required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher is a plus).
- Previous experience in data entry, database management, or similar roles.
- Proficiency in data entry software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or proprietary databases).
