The Accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing budgets, overseeing payroll, and conducting audits to maintain financial health and transparency for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accuracy in all financial reporting.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in developing annual budgets.
- Monitor expenditures and identify variances from the budget.
- Provide financial forecasts to guide decision-making.

Taxation and Compliance:
- Prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Stay updated on tax regulations to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage invoices and payments.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.

Payroll Management:
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee compensation records.

Internal Controls:
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Review financial processes and suggest improvements.

Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management.
- Conduct cost analysis and profitability studies to support business decisions.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
- Experience: 2-5 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data effectively.
