The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role involves performing various accounting functions, including reconciling accounts, processing transactions, and assisting with audits and tax filings.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Recordkeeping:
- Maintain and update accounting records and files.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.

General Ledger Management:
- Prepare and enter journal entries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate reports for management and external stakeholders as required.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze budget variances.

Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and file tax returns and other statutory filings.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Audit Support:
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.

Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems.
- Ensure internal controls are in place and effective.

Payroll Processing:
- Assist with payroll processing and related activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll transactions.

Special Projects:
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
