The Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and maintaining accurate accounting records for the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting principles and software.
Responsibilities:

Financial Transactions:
- Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accounting software or ledger systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice processing, payment collection, and reconciliation.

Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
- Provide financial reports and analysis to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities as required.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, collaborating with department heads and management to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor budget variances, analyze financial performance, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures or revenue enhancement opportunities.

Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements, including preparation and filing of tax returns, VAT filings, and other statutory filings.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors or auditors to facilitate tax audits and resolve any tax-related issues or inquiries.

Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance and areas for improvement.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis to support decision-making, strategic planning, and business initiatives.

Audit and Internal Controls:
- Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits, including audit preparation, documentation, and resolution of audit findings.
- Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or ACCA certification is a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate or professional environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
