The Computer Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining computer systems, performing data processing tasks, and providing technical support to ensure the efficient operation of computer systems and networks.
Job Responsibilities:
System Monitoring: Monitor computer systems, networks, and servers for proper functioning, performance, and security.
Batch Processing: Execute and monitor batch processing jobs, including running scheduled tasks, processing data files, and generating reports.
Data Entry: Enter and update data into computer systems, databases, spreadsheets, or other applications accurately and efficiently.
Printing and Output Management: Manage printing tasks, including queuing print jobs, loading paper and toner, troubleshooting printer issues, and ensuring timely delivery of printed materials.
Backup and Recovery: Perform backup and recovery operations to safeguard data integrity and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues or errors encountered during system operations, escalating complex problems to appropriate personnel when necessary.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation of system activities, errors, and resolutions for future reference and audit purposes.
System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, system patches, and hardware upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security of computer systems.
User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users regarding system usage, troubleshooting common issues, and performing basic tasks.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and security protocols related to data privacy, information security, and IT governance.
Qualifications and Skills:
