Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer specifications.
  2. Establish quality goals, objectives, and metrics in collaboration with senior management and department heads.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, materials, and finished products to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities.
  4. Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of quality issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  5. Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  6. Provide training and guidance to production staff and other team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, procurement, and logistics, to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  8. Manage and maintain quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, quality records, and documentation required for regulatory compliance.
  9. Coordinate and participate in internal and external quality audits and inspections.
  10. Monitor supplier quality performance and conduct supplier audits and assessments as needed.
  11. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  12. Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to quality management.
  13. Communicate quality-related issues, initiatives, and performance metrics to senior management and other stakeholders.
  14. Ensure compliance with relevant quality management systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001, FDA regulations, or industry-specific quality standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) may be preferred.
  2. Proven experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management roles, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools, such as statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis (RCA).
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
  5. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  6. Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of quality professionals.
  7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  8. Proficiency in quality management software and tools, such as quality management systems (QMS), statistical analysis software, and document control systems.
  9. Experience with regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the industry, such as FDA regulations, ISO standards, or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  10. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
