The Accountant will oversee the financial activities of the organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient management of financial records. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate a thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Accounts Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Audits: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee invoicing, payments, and collections to maintain positive cash flow.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll, including deductions, benefits, and tax calculations.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze costs and expenditures to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Financial Advice: Provide insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation (preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience with [specific industry, if applicable] is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.
