The Field Officer is responsible for managing on-ground activities, conducting site visits, collecting data, and interacting with community members or stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities

  1. Field Work & Data Collection

    • Conduct site visits to gather information and monitor project activities.

  2. Community Engagement

    • Establish relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.

  3. Project Implementation

    • Assist in the execution of project plans on the ground, ensuring alignment with set objectives.
    • Monitor the progress of the project against deliverables and timelines.

  4. Reporting & Documentation

    • Maintain accurate records of field activities, including daily/weekly reports and assessments.
    • Submit detailed reports on field findings, progress, and challenges faced.
    • Document success stories, case studies, and best practices for future reference.
  5. Coordination & Collaboration

    • Work closely with local authorities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate project activities.
    • Coordinate logistics, including transportation, materials, and personnel for field activities.
    • Support other team members in conducting assessments, workshops, or community meetings.
  6. Compliance & Safety

    • Ensure that all field activities comply with organizational guidelines, safety protocols, and ethical standards.
    • Maintain safety in the field by following appropriate risk management and safety procedures.
    • Report any violations of safety or ethical standards promptly.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, agriculture, public health, environmental science, or a related field (depending on the industry).
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in fieldwork, community engagement, or project management.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when engaging with local communities.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify challenges in the field and propose effective solutions.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and data collection tools (such as surveys, GPS devices, or mobile data collection apps).
