The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts.
- Process and record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Generate and analyze financial reports to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Advise management on budgetary adjustments and financial planning.

Tax Preparation and Compliance
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.

Audit and Internal Controls
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Conduct periodic reviews of financial processes and recommend improvements.

Account Reconciliation
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Support and Advisory
- Provide financial advice and support to other departments and management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Participate in special projects and financial analysis as required.

Software and Systems
- Utilize accounting software and other financial systems to manage and report financial data.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within financial systems.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience:
