Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:
- Assist the Hospital Manager in the day-to-day running of hospital operations.
- Oversee various departments such as patient services, clinical departments, facilities, and administrative support.
- Ensure that hospital resources, such as staff, equipment, and facilities, are efficiently utilized.
- Monitor and implement hospital policies, protocols, and standards to improve operational efficiency.

Staff Management and Leadership:
- Supervise and support department heads, nurses, administrative staff, and other hospital personnel.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of hospital staff.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff to foster a collaborative and professional work environment.
- Handle disciplinary issues and conflict resolution as necessary.
- Ensure proper staffing levels and workforce planning to meet patient care demands.

Patient Care and Experience:
- Ensure that the hospital delivers high-quality patient care in line with healthcare standards and best practices.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and address any complaints or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure that the hospital meets the specific needs of patients.
- Implement and promote patient safety protocols and infection control measures.

Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation:
- Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, hospital policies, and local, state, and national regulations.
- Maintain hospital accreditation and certification standards, including JCI (Joint Commission International) or other relevant accreditation bodies.
- Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring that all departments are compliant with regulatory requirements.

Financial and Budget Management:
- Assist in the preparation and management of the hospital’s budget.
- Monitor departmental budgets and spending, ensuring cost efficiency and resource allocation.
- Identify opportunities for financial improvement, including cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist with financial reporting and provide insights to the Hospital Manager on financial performance.

Strategy and Planning:
- Assist the Hospital Manager in strategic planning for the hospital’s growth and service delivery.
- Develop short-term and long-term operational goals and ensure they are aligned with the hospital's overall objectives.
- Identify areas for service improvement, expansion, or new service development.
- Participate in hospital-wide initiatives, including healthcare technology upgrades, process improvements, and patient experience projects.

Crisis and Emergency Management:
- Support emergency preparedness by ensuring the hospital is equipped to handle crises, including medical emergencies, natural disasters, or other unexpected events.
- Coordinate with hospital departments to implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Lead staff during emergency situations and ensure smooth communication with senior management and external stakeholders.

Communication and Liaison:
- Act as a point of contact between staff and senior hospital management.
- Ensure open communication across departments and relay important updates or directives from the hospital manager to staff.
- Foster strong relationships with doctors, nurses, patients, and external healthcare providers to ensure collaboration and continuity of care.
- Participate in meetings with senior management, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to represent the hospital’s interests.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor hospital performance metrics, including patient outcomes, safety standards, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement quality assurance initiatives to improve service delivery and patient care.
- Work with hospital staff to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of hospital operations to ensure that all services meet high standards of quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field. A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MHA) is preferred.
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in healthcare management, including experience in a leadership or supervisory role. Hospital or clinical experience is strongly preferred.
