The Medical Representative is responsible for promoting and selling the company's pharmaceutical and medical products to healthcare professionals. This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers to drive product awareness and sales. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of medical products, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell the company’s pharmaceutical and medical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers to increase product awareness and sales.
- Provide detailed information and demonstrations of products to healthcare professionals.
- Achieve sales targets and objectives set by the company.
- Attend and organize medical conferences, meetings, and industry events to promote products.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest clinical data and research, continuously updating healthcare professionals on new developments.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and presentations to management.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market conditions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Medical Representative or in a similar sales role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmaceutical products.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Pharmacy, Medicine, Business Administration).
- Certification from a recognized pharmaceutical sales training program.
- Experience with specific therapeutic areas or products.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position.
- Field-based role with significant travel to meet with healthcare professionals and attend industry events.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work to attend conferences or meet with clients.
