Key Responsibilities:

System Monitoring:
- Monitor computer systems and networks to ensure they are functioning efficiently.
- Observe system operations and respond to errors or issues promptly.
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot system problems.

- Execute data processing tasks, including data entry, data backup, and batch processing.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data input and output.
- Manage and maintain data storage systems.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance on computer systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Coordinate with IT support for complex technical problems.

Job Scheduling:
- Schedule and run jobs as required, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
- Monitor job progress and handle job failures or delays.
- Maintain detailed records of job schedules and outcomes.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain logs of all system operations, errors, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports on system performance and issues encountered.
- Document procedures for system operations and troubleshooting.

Security and Compliance:
- Follow established security protocols to protect data and systems.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage access controls and system permissions.

User Support:
- Provide technical support to users experiencing system-related issues.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of user accounts and software.
- Conduct basic training for users on system operations and procedures.

System Upgrades:
- Assist in the implementation of system upgrades and enhancements.
- Test new hardware and software for compatibility and performance.
- Ensure minimal disruption to operations during system upgrades.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as a computer operator or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
