As a computer operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of computer hardware systems, ensuring that they are running efficiently and effectively to meet the organization's needs. Your role involves monitoring system performance, responding to user requests and technical issues, and performing routine maintenance tasks to keep systems running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- System Monitoring: Monitor computer hardware systems, including servers, mainframes, and network devices, to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Troubleshooting: Respond to user-reported issues and technical alerts, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems in a timely manner.
- Job Scheduling: Execute scheduled jobs and batch processing tasks, ensuring that they are completed accurately and on time.
- Data Backup and Recovery: Perform regular backups of critical data and implement recovery procedures to safeguard against data loss.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
- Security Management: Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive data and systems from unauthorized access or breaches.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, hardware upgrades, and repairs, to ensure the reliability and longevity of computer systems.

- User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to users, guiding them through software applications and troubleshooting common issues.
