The Computer Operator is responsible for managing and maintaining computer systems and networks. Key Responsibilities:

1. System Monitoring:

   • Monitor the performance of computer systems, servers, and networks to ensure smooth operations.
   • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and address technical issues.

2. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

   • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems.
   • Perform routine system maintenance, including updates, backups, and patches.

3. Data Management:

   • Manage and monitor data backups and recovery processes.
   • Ensure data integrity and security compliance.

4. Operational Support:

   • Start, stop, and monitor computer system operations as required.
   • Coordinate with other IT staff to address system failures or emergencies.

5. Documentation:

   • Maintain logs of system performance, incidents, and resolution steps.
   • Document operational procedures for future reference.

6. User Support:

   • Assist users with technical issues and provide necessary support.
   • Train employees on basic system operations if needed.

7. Compliance and Security:

   • Follow organizational IT policies and security protocols.
   • Monitor and report any potential security breaches or anomalies.

Requirements:

• Education:
  High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is a plus.

• Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and hardware troubleshooting.

• Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of computer systems, networks, and data storage systems.
  • Proficiency in backup and recovery tools and diagnostic software.

• Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
