Key Responsibilities

System Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor computer systems and hardware to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform routine system checks and maintenance tasks.

- Input, update, and retrieve data from databases or systems.
- Back up and secure important files to prevent data loss.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
- Identify and resolve software or hardware issues promptly.
- Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff or external support teams.

Software and Hardware Operations:
- Install and configure software and hardware as required.
- Ensure peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.) are operational.

System Efficiency:
- Optimize system performance by adjusting configurations or suggesting upgrades.
- Ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain logs of system operations, errors, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and submit performance and incident reports as required.

- Assist users with basic IT-related issues.
- Provide training or guidance on using specific software or systems.

- Adhere to organizational IT policies and procedures.

Key Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field is a plus).
- Experience: Prior experience as a Computer Operator or in a related role is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Familiarity with software applications and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of networking and database systems is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and correct minor errors or inconsistencies.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Quick and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and user interaction.
- Other Requirements: Willingness to work in shifts, including nights or weekends if required.
