Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry:

    • Enter financial transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments into Tally ERP software.
    • Update and maintain the accounting database accurately and promptly.
  • Financial Reporting:

    • Generate financial statements and reports including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Account Reconciliation:

    • Reconcile bank statements with company records.
    • Ensure that discrepancies are identified, investigated, and resolved.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Track and manage inventory levels using Tally ERP.
    • Record stock movements and ensure accurate stock valuation.
  • GST and Taxation:

    • Handle GST entries and ensure timely filing of GST returns.
    • Assist with the preparation and submission of other tax-related documents.
  • General Ledger Maintenance:

    • Maintain and update the general ledger.
    • Ensure all journal entries are accurately posted.
  • Compliance and Auditing:

    • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Functions:

    • Provide support in budget preparation and financial planning.
    • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    • Proven experience as a Tally Operator or in a similar role.
    • Hands-on experience with Tally ERP software.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Tally ERP and MS Office (especially Excel).
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Communication Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
  • Interpersonal Skills:

    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
